Punjab government reconstitutes the Patiala and East Punjab State Union Townships Development Board

  • CM Bhagwant Mann is the Chairman and Cabinet Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa appointed as Senior Vice Chairman of the Board


ChandigarhThe Punjab government on Friday reconstituted the Patiala and East Punjab State Union Townships Development Board and appointed Chief Minister Sh. Bhagwant Mann as its chairman.

In a circular issued here by the KAP Sinha, Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner Revenue said that the under Section 4 of the Pepsu Townships Development Board Act, 1954 (PEPSU ACT NO.2 of 1955) and all other powers enabling him in this behalf to reconstitute the Patiala and East Punjab State Union Townships Development Board under Section 3 of the said Act, the government has appointed the the new Chairman, Sr. Vice Chairman, Vice Chairman and Members thereof for a period of three year.

The government has appointed Sh. Bram Shanker Jimpa, Revenue, Rehabilitation & Disaster Minister as senior vice chairman of the board;  Smt. Neena Mittal, MLA, Rajpura as vice chairman.

Likewise, Sh. Ritesh Bansal, Sh. Gurveer Singh Sarao, Sh. Sumit Bakshi and Sh. Jatinder Verma have been appointed as a member of the board.

The government has appointed Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Punjab;Deputy Commissioner, Patiala as members and  Sub Divisional Magistrate, Rajpura as the Administrator of the board.
