NAKODAR
The Mehat Pur police have arrested a villager on the charge of selling illicit liquor.
The investigating officer Satnam Singh said 9 bottles of hooch were seized from the possession of the accused identified as Puran Singh a resident of Gounsuwal village. A case under sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act was registered against the accused who was released on bail.
The Nakodar sadar police arrested migrant Subash Kumar a native of Bihar with 10 bottles of liquor and released him on bail said IO Kulwindar Singh
