Axis bank theft, no breakthrough even after a month

NURMAHAL: The Nurmahal police have failed to make any breakthrough even after more than a month in a theft incident in a bank branch here

The police have booked unidentified thieves on the charge of stealing cash from the Axis bank branch.

Cheema Kalan bank branch manager Vivek Bhargav has complained to the police that a theft incident happened at Axis Bank branch on September 11 approximately at 12.30 A.M.

He said has said in his complaint that it was noticed on September 12 at 9 A.M when the branch was opened and Rs 11,65,680 was stolen.

The investigating officer Sanjiv Kumar said a case under sections 457(lurking house-trespass) and 380(theft in dwelling house) of the IPC was registered against the unidentified accused.

When contacted Station House Officer Hardev Preet Singh said that the police have not made any breakthrough in the theft case yet and investigations are on.
