The Lohian Khas police have arrested a villager on the charges of insulting religion of any class.
The investigating officer (IO) Kashmir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Kamajit Singh alias Kamal son of Rattan Singh a resident of Turna village.
Daljit Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused tore photos of prominent villagers from a flexi with a poster of Shri Bhagwan Valmik installed at a building of common gym in connection with birthday celebrations of Bhagwan.
IO said that a case under sections 295 (Injuring or defiling place of worship with intent to insult the religion of any class.) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
