The Bilga police have booked five persons on charge of voluntarily causing hurt, criminal conspiracy.
The investigating officer (IO) Buta Ram said that the accused have been identified as Balvir Singh, Amandeep ,Kultar Singh and Ikbal Singh residents of Farwala and Surjan Singh a resident of Palahi village under Phagwara sadar police station .
Amjit Singh a resident of Farwala village complained to the police that the accused attacked him with sharp edged weapons and injured him.
IO said that a case under sections 323 and 324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons) 148 and 149 (rioting) 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
