Union minister reviews welfare and development schemes

  • Asks officials to ensure the benefits to reach out to weaker section


Phagwara: Som Parkash Union state minister for commerce and industry today asked the officials from district Kapurthala to ensure the benefit of centrally  sponsored welfare schemes must reach to the weaker section of society to uplift their standard of living . 

In a review meeting of centre sponsored schemes here at MC Phagwara office , the minister along with ADC Phagwara Dr. Nayan Jassal and ADC D Mr S P Angra and many other higher officials , said that the union government has launched many schemes like Amrit Sarovar , PM svanidhi scheme and MPLAD scheme etc to provide the suitable atmosphere for overall growth of the state . 

Taking a review of the MPLAD funds issued, Union minister said that the estimate for development works should be submitted in a speedy manner .

He also said the MPLAD world must be completed soon besides submission of utilisation certificates to be given top priority. 

He asked the officials that they must use the funds given by union government in a transparent manner so that the new instalments could be released by the union government to further boost the welfare schemes and development works. 

ADC Phagwara assured the union minister for state that the district administration would leave no stone unturned in the proper implementation of welfare as well as development oriented schemes in the district.
