Kapurthala: A large quantity of drugs recovered under the campaign being conducted by the Kapurthala Police for the prevention of drugs was destroyed today at Amritsar .
SSP Navneet Singh Bains led the process of destroying drugs as chairman of the committee in which S.P. Investigation Harvinder Singh and DSP. PBI NDPS Ashok Kumar were the members.
SSP said that in a total of 62 cases, the recovered drugs have been destroyed after completing the legal process. It includes 825 pills and 11 injections were recovered in 3 cases, 5 kg 640 grams of Ganja has been recovered in 5 cases, 4 kg 267 grams of heroin was recovered in 27 cases, 2 kg 997 grams of powder has been recovered in 20 cases, 92 kg 470 grams Poppy husk has been recovered in 6 cases was destroyed.
SSP who personally supervised the entire process of destroying drugs said that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav, the campaign against drugs will be intensified.
