Drugs seized under NDPS Act destroyed

The Jalandhar (rural) police on Friday destroyed drugs seized under NDPS Act by various police stations.
Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Swarandeep Singh in a press release said that drugs seized was destroyed in a fire in the premises of P.K.Paper and Board Mill Mehat Pur
He said that destroyed drugs included 3086 kilogram and 800 grams poppy husk,6 kilograms and 597 grams intoxicant powder,4 kilograms and 038 grams heroin,,10 grams ice,735 grams charas,440 grams ganja,05 grams smack,70 injections,7968 intoxicant tablets,290 intoxicant capsules and 60 syringes .
Press note said that drug disposal committee of Jalandhar rural chairman and SSP Swaradeep Singh, SP(D) Sarabjit Singh ,and Jaspal Singh DSP Forensic were present on the occasion.
