Barnala: A massive blood donation camp has been organized at SD College. About 70 students and staff members donated blood in this blood donation camp organized under the 'Mega Voluntary Blood Donation Drive' scheme being run at the national level. Dr Parneet Sharma, Dr Gurmehar Dhillon and Principal Dr Rama Sharma inaugurated the camp organized in collaboration with the local civil hospital. Encouraging the students to donate blood, they highlighted the importance of blood donation and congratulated the entire staff for this noble initiative. Students participated enthusiastically in this camp organized by NSS, NCC and the Sports Department under the supervision of Dr Ritu Agarwal. Certificates were also given to the blood donors on the occasion. SD College Management Committee General Secretary Mr Jatinder Nath Sharma and Finance Secretary Dr Mukand Lal Bansal specially arrived to encourage blood donors. In the success of the camp, Dr Bahadur Singh, Prof. Jaswinder Kaur, Prof Satpal Singh, Prof Renu Dharni, Prof Harpreet Singh, Prof Jagjit Singh, Prof Balwinder Singh, and Prof Jaspreet Kaur contributed a lot. College staff and a large number of students were present on this occasion.
