The Bilga police have booked a Kapurthala village resident on the charges of selling illicit country made liquor.
The investigating officer (IO) Harjindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Nirmal Singh alias Nimma a resident of Buta village in Kapurthala .
IO said that the accused has loaded booze in four-wheel vehicle and was intercepted at a Naka but managed to flee leaving his vehicle.IO said 1000 bottles of hooch and four drums were recovered from vehicle.
A case under sections 61/1/14 of the Excise Act have been registered against the accused.
