NAKODAR
The Nakodar sadar police have booked six members of a family including two women on the charge of assaulting a woman.
The investigating officer (IO)Surindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Das Ram a resident of Shidham Station Wale village, his wife Malkito ,his sons Amarik,Hem Raj and Surjit Ram and daughter-in-law Bakhsho .
Kaushayala wife of Parkash Ram a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused waylaid and assaulted her and her grandson.
IO said that a case under sections 323, (voluntarily causing hurt),341(wrongful restraint), and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
