Melbourne– Melbourne Sikh United Warriors, Craigieburn Falcons, Melbourne Sikh United Strikers and Sydney Lions (Red) reached the semi-finals of the first Quint Essential Melbourne Hockey Cup here this evening. The quarter finals were played on the second day of the ongoing tournament at Melbourne's Sports Park Parkville. Today's chief guests Amar Singh Sidney (Turbans for Australia), Gagandeep Singh (Quint Essential), Achal Arora and Jagbir Singh introduced with the teams.

In the semi-finals, Melbourne Sikh United Warriors will take on Craigieburn Falcon, while Melbourne Sikh United Strikers will take on Sydney Lions (Red). Today In the first quarter final  Melbourne Sikh United Warriors beat Evolve NZ 9-1, in the second quarter final, Craigieburn Falcon beat Sydney Lions Green 5-4, in the third quarter final, Melbourne Sikh United Strikers beat Aussie Punjabi in a penalty shootout. Out by 7-6 and Sydney Lions Red thrashed Latrobe Valley 8-0 to advance to the semi-finals. On September 25, the semi-finals will be played later in the afternoon while the final will be played at 7 pm. Prizes will be distributed to the winning teams by Padma Shri Pargat Singh Olympian.
