The investigating officer Nirmal Singh said that a case under Section379 (theft)of the IPC and section 21 of the Punjab Mining and Minerals Act has been registered against the accused and a tractor trolley loaded with sand has been impounded.
The police also booked an unidentified person for illegal sand mining and impounded a tractor trolley loaded with sand, said IO Harbhajan Lal.
