One of the gangsters arrested in an extortion case is the son of the complainant.
Station House Officer (SHO) Dharminder Kalyan said that the accused Sandeep Singh son of Gurdeep Singh a resident of Malarri village has hatched a conspiracy to loot his father by collaborating with Vijay Kumar who has been arrested and Ajay who is absconding.
SHO said that Gurdeep Singh a resident of Malarri village had complained to the police that he received a call from telephone number 98721-12383 in which the accused demanded Rs 5 lakhs from him and threatened to kill his son if no money was paid within time at a place of his choice.
SHO said that a case under sections 386(extortion by putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt.)506(criminal intimidation) and 34 (committing a crime with the common intention) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused and riad are being conducted to nab absconding accused Ajay.
