The Crime Investigation Agency(CIA) of Jaitu police of Faridkot on Sunday claimed to have arrested four persons from the spot near Bhagtuana Chowak Jaitu and seized 270 Kg of poppy husk from their possession.
A case against the four accused,Ajay Kumar of Muktsar,Parminder Singh of a Jaitu village,Kuldeep Singh and Sona Singh, both residents of village Arni Wala of Fazilka district has been registered under section 15(c)/61/85 of NDPS act at police station Jaitu.
The case has been registered on the complaint of SI Gurlal Singh of CIA Jaitu.
He claimed that the four accused were driving in two cars and when the police signalled them to stop, they tried to reverse their cars, but failed.
He said that the police party called the DSP(D) Faridkot and when they were searched, the police recovered 270 kg of poppy husk from their position.
The police also said that it has seized two cars and two mobile phones from them.
All the four were arrested from the sport and further investigation is on.
