NAKODAR
The Nakodar City police have booked a resident on the charge of assaulting another resident.
Investigating Officer (IO) Sukhdev Singh said that the accused has been identified as Piara Singh Sandhu aresident of Mohalla Guru Nanak Pura Nakodar .
Rakesh Kumar Puri a resident of Mohalla Bogarran complained to the police that the accused waylaid andattacked him near a Dhabba on Malsian Road on May 16 evening used abusive and filthy language against him and threatened him .
IO said a case under sections 115(2) (voluntary causing hurt ) 126(2) (wrongful restraint) 351(3)(criminalintimidation) and 296(obscene acts and songs) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
