Four Nakodar miscreants booked for snatching Rs 20,000

 

 

NAKODAR

The Nakodar City police have booked four miscreants on the charge of snatching Rs 20,000 cash.

Investigating Officer (IO) Jagtar Singh said the accused have been identified as Akash Gill son of Sham aresident of Mohalla Minaran Nakodar, Amrit Pal son of Sat Nam a resident of Pati Pure Wal Shankar village, Gagan Deep son of Amarjit of Pati Taklhar Shankar village and Gurpreet son of Paramjit a resident of Chack Muglanni village

Sonu a resident of Mohalla Guru Nanak Pura Nakodar complained to the police that the accused waylaid him on May 15 near Kapurthala chownk    attacked him and snatched Rs 20,000

IO said a case under sections 309(4) (robbery), and 3(5)(committing crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.

Increasing incidents of snatching has created a sense of insecurity among residents and put a question mark on police functioning.

 

It is pertinent to mention here that the Nurmahal police had arrested  four Nakodar miscreants Akash Gill son of Sham a resident of mohalla Minaran Nakodar, Amrit Pal alias Amrit son of Satnam a resident of Pati Pure Wal ,Shankar village and Gurpreet Singh  son of Parjit Singh a resident of Chack Muglanni village under Nakodar Sadar police station om May 15 for snatching motor cycle .
