The Shahkot police have booked for villagers on the charge of obstructing work of a government pond in a village.
Investigating Officer (IO) Tirath Ram said that the accused have been identified as Goba son of Kewal, Sukhwindar Singh son of Amarjit residents of Jaffar Wal village, Prem son of Jogindar a resident of Patto Khurd village and Tinka son of Mohan Lal a resident of Kili village.Hardeep Singh Chandi a resident of Jaffar Wal village complained to the police that the accused disrupted work of government pond in his village and assaulted and threatened him.
IO said a case under sections 132(assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his dut),263-A(resistance or obstruction to lawful apprehension of another person ),115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt ) 351(2) (criminal intimidation ) and 3(5)(committing crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
