DC reviews progress of Smart City projects at Sultanpur Lodhi

Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Vishesh Sarangal today reviewed the ongoing development works under the Sultanpur Lodhi Smart City project .

 

During a meeting with the officials of various departments at the DAC, sarangal asked the officials to work with personal interest to accomplish the ongoing development works at the holy city on time to facilitate devotees coming to the city . 

 

Advocating to pay special attention for timely completion of 4 lanning of roads to holy city with an aim to establish better road connectivity from

mundi Morh to Sultanpur lodhi and Dadwindi-Sultanpur lodhi , Deputy commissioner said that the work is going on full swing and it will be a boon for people going to Malwa region from Doaba . 

 

 Ithe construction of 17.40 KM road from Mundi Mor to Sultanpur Lodhi and 4 lane roads from Dadwindi to Sultanpur Lodhi is underway . 

 

He asked the officials of the Public Works Department to ensure timely completion of these roads and also pay special attention to the quality of work. He also gave clear instructions that any kind of negligence in road construction work will not be tolerated at all.

Sarangal also took a report from the officials of the education department regarding the establishment of 4 schools as smart schools at a cost of Rs. 14 crore. 

 

He said that Public Works Department and Education Department should work together to speed up the establishment of smart schools and anganwaris. 

 

Regarding expediting the work of the STP being set up on the Sultanpur Lodhi to Jabowal road, DC asked the officials of the Sewerage Board to complete it by the stipulated time limit of June 2023.

 

 Under the Safe City project, the officials of the Public Works Department have been ordered to complete the work regarding the Integrated Command Control Center (ICCC) soon, under this, 250 CCTV cameras are to be installed for the security of the city. .

 

 He also reviewed the performance of the Department of Archeology regarding the maintenance of the Qila Sarai. Deputy Commissioner also gave directions to submit weekly progress reports to the concerned departments.

 

 Officials of Public Works Department, Sewerage Board, Municipal Council, Education Department, PEDA and Punjab Pollution Control Board and Water Supply were present in the meeting .
