Soon after @CMOPb tweets to file chargesheet in Behbal Kalan firing case, the same tweet is deleted soon afterwards
As usual, a step forwards, another step backwards by CM.
Faridkot
In a step forward allegedly without a mature consideration, the next step was backwards. This happened to a tweet by the official handle of the @CMOPb in which it was shared that the government has decided to present a challan into the Behbal Kalan firing incident soon.
But soon afterwards, the tweet was deleted.
This correspondent of the Punjab Tribune.com had taken a screenshot of the tweet which shared the information as,"Punjab government will soon present a challan in the court pertaining to police firing in Behbal Kalan police firing case.Decision to this effect was taken in a meeting between the state government and representatives of Quami Insaaf morcha, deliberation also held on prisoners languishing in jails."
But soon after, the tweet was allegedly deleted.
"Please see if the tweet of the CMO office is deleted,' asked one of my journalist friends I had shared this tweet with.
When it checked, the tweet could not be retrieved.
The tweet might have been allegedly deleted as it could involve AAP led government to a political debate that the CMO office dictates in the sacrilege cases which have an emotional appeal to the Sikh community in Punjab and diaspora abroad.
The charge sheet was supposed to be filed by the SIT formed in this case, but informing about it beforehand could land the AAP into a political drama because political parties could corner the chief minister dictating terms for his political goals.
So to avoid political allegations that the AAP is doing vendetta politics, tweets might be deleted by the office.
"I can only say if the Chief Minister first tweeted and then the tweet was deleted, that either the CM is not mature enough to decide what he wants to tell the people or he conceals something as truth," said Ajaypal Singh Sandhu, member PPCC from Kotkapura.
"Earlier, there were rumors that the chargesheet is going to be filed, but then I confirmed that it will be presented in the count soon," said a press reporter in Faridkot.
"Only the concerned handle of the CMO office could tell why it deleted the tweet. The SIT is under the government and challan is a different matter. It could be presented at any time," said Sukhraj Singh Niamiwala, son of Krishanbhagwan Singh.
Whoever this correspondent tried to speak, was almost speaking in very measured words.
In fact, the Bhagwant Mann led government is cornered badly on political, law and order, confrontational politics, financially and many other issues. It has failed to deliver as promised. The alleged remote control of Delhi is further denting the image of the AAP in Punjab.
Kultar Singh Sandhwan, speaker of Punjab legislative assembly could not be contacted for his comments in this regard. The call went unanswered.
A senior Akali leader from the district  also said that he did not want to be associated with this matter.
The Whatsapp number of Parambans Singh Bunty Romana of SAD replied that it did not exist.
