The Lohian Khas police have arrested a Shahkot villager on the charge of helping the accused who has fired on the Lohian Khas police.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Surijit Singh Padda said that the accused has been identified as Dilbag Singh alias Baga son of Satrnam Singh a resident of Reharrwan village under Shahkot police station.
SHO said that the accused and main accused Lovpreet Singh alias Labha son of Jiwan Singh a resident of Ismail Pur village had jointly brought illegal weapons from UP and used the swift car of Dilbag Singh.
SHO said that the accused has been arrested in a case under section 307(attempt to murder) 353(assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty.) and 186( voluntarily obstructing any public servant in the discharge of his public functions, ) of the IPC and sections 25/54/59-A of the Arms Act and impounded his car(PB-67-D-0608)
