The Shahkot police have arrested three villagers on the charge of assaulting a co-villager.
The investigating officer (IO) and Talwandi Sanghera police post in-charge Atamjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sarabjit Singh, Gurmit Singh, and Charanjit Singh all residents of Sadik Pur village.
Harpreet Singh a resident of the same village had complained to the police that the accused attacked him with weapons and bricks and injured him on January 23.
IO said that a case under sections 323,324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means) and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the IPC was registered against the accused.
