The Shahkot police have booked a villager on the charge of brewing illicit country-made liquor.
The investigating officer Lakhbir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Harmesh Singh a resident of Raje Wal village.35 liters of lahann(raw liquor),3 bottles of hooch, and utensils for brewing were recovered from his possession. A case under section 61/1/14 of the excise act has been registered against the accused that managed to flee from the spot.
