The Lohian Khas police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling poppy husk.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Surjit Singh Padda that 10 kilograms of poppy husk were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Puran Singh son of Kartar Singh a resident of Pipply village.
SHO said a case under sections 15(b)//61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused who is a notorious smuggler and four cases of drug peddling are pending against him.
The Bilga police arrested drug peddler Pappu Kumar son of Ram Jass Mandal a resident of Pasla village with 150 intoxicant tablets said IO Anwar Masih.
