The Shahkot police have booked a youth on the charge of kidnapping a minor.
The investigating officer (IO) and Malsian police post in-charge Nirmal Singh said that the accused has been identified as Bhupindar Singh alias Bhinda son of Gurdev Singh a resident of Mallian Khurd village in Nakodar.
Neelam wife of Nirmal Singh a resident of Kaangganna village complained to the police that the accused kidnapped his minor daughter by inducing her.
IO said that a case under sections 363 (kidnapping) and 366-A (Procuration of minor girl) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and further investigation is on.
