The Lohian Khas police have arrested a shopkeeper on the charge of selling Chinese string which has been banned.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Surjit Singh Padda said that the accused has been identified as Raj Kumar alias Raju son of Ravindar Nath a resident of ward no.5 and recovered 10 rolls of Chines string from his shop (Sharma Book Depot) .
SHO said a case under section 188(disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused.
