NAKODAR
The Nakodar city police have booked an unidentified SUV driver on charge of causing death by negligence, rash driving on public road and mischief.
Santosh Kumar wife of late Sonu a resident Sidham Station Wale village complained to the police that her husband was returning home after completing his work at Nakodar .When he reached near Agarwal Pastry store on the Nurmahal road a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV)(PB-10-CJ-4666) coming from Nurmahal side being driven very fast and negligently by its driver hit Somu’s motor cycle who was seriously injured and succumbed to his injuries in Nakodar civil hospital.
The investigating officer Mandeep Singh said that a case under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence) 279(rash driving on a public way) 337,338(causing grievous hurt to any person by doing any act rashly or negligently to endanger human life, or the personal safety of others ..) and 427(mischief) of the IPC has been registered against unidentified SUV driver
