The couple allegedly attempted suicide on the intervening night of Jan 11/12 by consuming some poisonous substance.

Two days after the newly wed couple allegedly consumed poison,both of them died during treatment today.
Sonu and Sehnaj were married about two and half a month ago.
They were the residents of Teacher's colony Faridkot with their other family members.
Sonu was working as an adhoc worker in local municiple committe.
"They went inside their bedroom after dinner on January 10.When they did not wake up next morning,I knocked at the door,Sehnaj opened the door and fell unconscious. Sonu too was lying unconscious on the bed.We immediately rushed them to the local GGS medical college and hospital. But they died today during treatment, " Ashvani Kumar,brother of the deceased stated to the police.
He ruled out any marital dispute between the two.
"The post mortem of the two has been conducted and police are proceeding under section 174 of CrPc.If anything comes fore during the investigation or someone gives a statement in this regards,further action will be taken accordingly,"said Iqbal Chand,IO in the case.
The deadbodies have been handed to the family after postmortem.
Sehnaj belonged to Baghapurana town of district Moga.
