MUKTSAR: Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident on the intervening night of 10/11 while they were away to village Pathrala(Bathinda) for some work.
The dead bodies of the accident victims were found near village Thehri, on national highway to Giddarbaha during a search for them by the parents and relatives of the victims when they did not return home.
Both Bhinder Singh and Deputy Singh were residents of village Kurai Wala of Muktsar district and were working as labourers.
Hardev Singh,48, father of the deceased Bhinder Singh has alleged that the accident has taken place due to the negligence of some unidentified vehicle and driver.
The police have registered a case against unidentified driver and vehicle under section 304A (Whoever causes the death of any person by doing any rash or negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years)and 427(Mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees )of IPC at police station Gaddarbaha.
