The Shahkot police have arrested a villager on the charge of brewing illicit country-made liquor.
The investigating officer Lakhbir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gian Singh Singh a resident of Jannian village.40 kg lahhan(raw liquor) 2 bottles of hooch and utensils for brewing were recovered from his possession. A case under section 61/1/14 of the excise act has been registered against the accused.
