 The Mehat Pur police arrested two villagers on the charges of killing a 30-year-old youth.

The investigating officer Harwindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Jaswant Singh alias Jaswanti son of Malkit Singh a resident of Vehran village and Deepak alias Thando son of Lubhaya a resident of Baghela village 

Raj Ranni wife Jeet Singh a resident of Vehran village had complained to the police that his son Gurmit Singh alias Miti (30) went from his house on November 10 at 7 PM saying that he is going to playground for volleyball game but did not return home.

She had said that his elder son Jatindar Singh on November 11 morning went to her fields situated in Chhohle village and found his brother Gurmit Singh dead in a passage of a field.

She had said that she along with her family reached on the spot after receiving news of the death of his son and found signs of wounds on his face and blood and there were signs of wound on his son’s chest.

She had said that some unidentified persons had beaten his son which resulted in his death.

The investigating officer Harwindar Singh said that a case under sections 304(culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused and further investigations are on.
