Bohar Singh Rupian Wala and Sukhdev Singh, presidents of BKU(Sidhupur Ekta) of Faridkot and Muktsar districts respectively today expressed their sincere thanks to the people of the districts for the peaceful march to the Haryana borders on August 31, as a token of intensifying the protest.
They said that despite all the brutal and forceful attack on the peaceful protesters at Shambu and other borders of Haryana, the farmers have displayed complete restraints and have continued their protest peacefully.
"The farmers have completed 200 days at the protest sites and are determined to get their demands met. But despite the assurances, the government has not accepted their genuine demands including the guaranteed MSP and implementation of Dr Swaminathan commission report," said the union leaders.
They further flayed Kangna Ranout forr her anti farmers' statements and demanded an FIR against her.
They alleged that her statements are a part of some political tactic.
