Dr Chander Sekhar Kakkad has assumed the charge of civil surgeon Faridkot.
Dr Sekhar had earlier been serving as Senior Medical Officer Faridkot before being transferred to Fazilka.
Dr Sekhar had served Faridkot as a medical specialist in civil hospital and then was promoted as SMO.
He had rendered his tireless services to the Faridkot town during his service years ans as an SMO,had got two PG courses started in the hospital.
All the doctors,paramedical staff and local welfare societies welcomed him on his taking over as Civil Surgeon Faridkot.
Dr Sekhar assured all that no stone will be left unturned to provide best medical care in the district.
"I would ensure that the best of medical facilities be provided as per the government policy in the district,"said Dr Sekhar.
Dr Sekhar has replaced Dr Maninder Pal Singh after his retirement.
He thanked all the present on the occasion of his taking over as the civil surgeon Faridkot.
