The Shahkot police have arrested two miscreants on the charge of snatching cash and a mobile phone from a villager.
Investigating Officer (IO) Sarwann Singh said that the accused have been identified as Paramjit Singh alias Pappa son of Jagtar Singh and Gagan Preet alias Gagan son of Balihar Singh both residents of Hari Pur village under Mehat Pur police station
Arash Deep alias Arash a resident of Kotli Gajran village had complained to the police that the accused waylaid him on August 28 and snatched Rs 2000, his smartphone, and the key to his motorcycle.
IO said a case under section 304(snatching)and 3(5) (committing a crime with common intention) of the BNS was registered against the accused and recovered the snatched mobile and impounded a motorcycle and raids were conducted to nab the third accused
