- Regarding calling for information from general public about the Kotkapura firing incident in Kotkapura dated 14.10.2015 by the special investigation team constituted by the orders of hon’ble punjab and haryana high court at chandigarh dated 09.04.2021 and state government order dated 07.05.2021.
- Special Investigation Team (SIT) consisting of (i) L.K.Yadav IPS, ADGP (ii) Rakesh Aggrawal IPS, IGP (iii) Surjit Singh IPS, DIG Faridkot Range and due to the retirement of Surjit Singh IPS, DIG Faridkot Range, Gulneet Singh Khurana IPS SSP Moga has been appointed vide order dated 19.04.2022
Faridkot: While disposing of the CWP No. 17459 of 2019 (O&M) and CWP No. 17460 of 2019 (O&M), the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court Chandigarh vide order dated 09.04.2021 had directed the State Government to constitute Special Investigation Team (SIT) of 3 Senior officers from State of Punjab to conduct the investigation of FIR No. 192 dated 14.10.2015 PS City Kotkapura and FIR No. 129 dated 07.08.2018 PS City Kotkapura and in compliance to the above said order, the Government of Punjab vide order dated 07.05.2021 had constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) consisting of (i) L.K.Yadav IPS, ADGP (ii) Sh. Rakesh Aggrawal IPS, IGP (iii) Surjit Singh IPS, DIG Faridkot Range and due to the retirement of Surjit Singh IPS, DIG Faridkot Range, Gulneet Singh Khurana IPS SSP Moga has been appointed vide order dated 19.04.2022.
Through this Public Notice, it is requested of the general public to intimate the SIT about any information which they might have regarding the Kotkapura firing incident that took place on 14.10.2015. Any member from the public having information regarding the above said incident can contact SIT at Vigilance Bhawan, Sector 68, SAS Nagar or can send the same on WhatsApp no. 98759-83237 of SIT or at Email ID

Iqbal Singh from the SIT office has been Deputed/Stationed at Faridkot at the PWD Rest House, Faridkot and in case someone is unable to visit SIT office at Chandigarh, he may contact him on his mobile no 80543-70012 or meet him at the PWD Rest House Faridkot in working hours for giving any information regarding above said cases.
