The Shahkot police have arrested a migrant on the charge of smuggling and selling liquor.
Investigating Officer (IO) Sarwann Singh said that 12 bottles of liquor were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Madan Kumar Rishi a native of Bihar state and presently living at Akbar Pur Kalan village.
IO said a case under sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
