Communist Party of India Marxist (CPIM) organized a political conference to pay homage to its departed leader Ex MLA Sarwan Singh Cheema and his security guards at Cheema Kalan village near here on Sunday.
Many workers, youths, and party activists reached the venue to pay homage to the leader.
CPM state secretary Sukhwindar Singh Sekhon and Sukhprit Singh, Mul Chand, Krishan Devi, Lachhmann Singh and others addressed the gathering and said that Modi Government is serving the interests of international and native corporates and pursuing anti-people policies. They said that RSS is trying to implement its communal agenda.
Sarwan Singh Cheema and his security guards Santokh Singh,Ram Lubhaya,Raghubir Chand ,Mohindar Singh, and Punjab police head constable Paramjit Singh were gunned down by terrorists 31 years ago.
