The Punjab financial commissioner revenue (FCR) has directed Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner (DC) to act to   complete the building of the Nurmahal police station.

Superintendent in the officer of FCR while forwarding all complaints of Jalandhar district said in an official commination said that Dilbag Singh ‘s representation sent to the chief minister on May 27,2022 is sent to you in original for necessary action as per government rules/policy and a report be sent within a month to FCR and complainant should be informed directly about the action taken.

Dilbag Singh, social activist, and a resident of Baina Pur village in a reminder representation to the chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had said

that the director of Local Government had told the Nurmahal Nagar council that its resolution number 40 passed on 11-06-2012 for transferring 6 kanals 18 marlas land to the police department for the construction of the building for Nurmahal police station had been rejected as per a decision of the Supreme Court of India.
Dilbag Singh said    that  in  another decision taken by the Supreme court of India it   said that we give directions to all the state governments in the country that they should prepare schemes for eviction of illegal/unauthorized occupants of Gram sabha/Gram Panchayat………."
Regularizing should only be permitted in exceptional cases e.g. where the lease has been granted under some Government notification to landless labourers or members of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, or where there is already a school dispensary or other public utility on the land.
Representation  said that according to this decision Nurmahal Nagar council's resolution is a fit case for approval.
Dilbag Singh  said that in the year 2005 police station Nurmahal was located in a private building. People of the town took initiative and donated six kanals 18 marlas land belonging to Patti of the town and spent Rs. 25.00 lakhs for the construction of the building for police station Nurmahal.
However, government authorities took no further action to complete the
building. The 6 kanals and 14 marlas land stand mutated in the name of common owners.
Dilbag Singh said that the possession of the land has been changed from gair mumkin pond and recorded on the name of the police station and the local Nagar council has passed a resolution for no objection certificate to transfer land to the police department.

Jalandhar (rural) senior superintendent of police has written to the deputy commissioner (DC) to give sanction for mutation of land to transfer land to the police department which is pending.

Dilbag Singh had urged the chief minister to direct DC

for transferring 6 kanals 18 marlas land to the police department for the construction of the building for Nurmahal police station.
