The District Legal Services Authority, Jalandhar, observed Green Oath Day under the “Mission One Judge
One Plant” campaign. Under the guidance of the Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Mohali, and Mr.
Nirbhau Singh Gill, District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Jalandhar,
the judicial officers of Jalandhar, Nakodar, and Phillaur planted and adopted one sapling each under this
initiative.In the morning, plantation programs were held at Government Model Co-Education Senior Secondary School, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar, and Government Model Senior Secondary School, School of Eminence, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar. Judicial officers of the District Headquarters Jalandhar and members of the Bar Association Jalandhar participated in this event.
Several beneficial trees were planted, including Mango, Tahli, Neem, Arjun, and Amaltas.These species are known for their valuable qualities. Each officer adopting a plant will maintain a booklet provided by Mr. Nirbhau Singh Gill, District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Jalandhar. The booklet will record the name of the tree and the date of adoption, and in case of transfer, the booklet will be handed over to the successor officers.
The plantation drive at Government Model Co-Education Senior Secondary School, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar, and Government Model Senior Secondary School, School of Eminence, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar, was led by Rajeev K. Beri, Incharge District & Sessions Judge, Jalandhar.

Rahul Kumar Azad, CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Jalandhar, emphasized that the objective of this program is to increase environmental awareness and to encourage judicial officers to actively participate in environmental protection, which reflects the commitment of the District Legal Services Authority, Jalandhar, towards the environment.
