The Nakodar Sadar police have booked thirteen persons on the charges of assault, criminal intimidation, and rioting.
The investigating officer (IO) Chaman Lal said that the accused have been identified as Deepal Kumar a resident of Kheeva village, Sain a resident of Pandori Sekhan village, and their elevon unidentified accomplices.
Jogindar Pal a resident of Kheeva village complained to the police that the accused waylaid and attacked him, his son Vivek and one Kuldip Singh with weapons and injured them and threatened them with dire consequences.
IO said a case under sections 324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means),341(wrongful restrain) 506(criminal intimidation), and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC have been registered against the accused. No arrested have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
