The Bilga police arrested a villager on the charge of selling illicit liquor.
The investigating officer Ashwani Kumar said 9 bottles of hooch were seized from the possession of the accused identified as Balwindar Singh a resident of Sangowal village. A case under sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act was registered against the accused that was released on bail.
The Shahkot police arrested Jagtar Singh alias Jaggi of Talwandi Sanghera village with 8 bottles of hooch and released on bail said IO Aatamjit Singh.
