The Bilga police have booked four members of in-law’s family including two women on the charge of assaulting a woman.
The investigating officer (IO)Harjindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Amarik Singh a resident of Rawan village, his wife Sandeep Kaur, son Iqbal Singh and daughter Manveer Kaur.
Lovpreet Kaur wife of Iqbal Singh and a resident of Udhowal village in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar village complained to the police that her husband, father in-law, mother in-law and sister in-law attacked her with a sharp edged weapon and assaulted her .
IO said that a case under sections 323, 324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means), and 34 (committing crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
