NAKODAR
The Nakodar city police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling opium. The investigating officer (IO) Kashmir Singh said that 50 grams of opium was recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Amrit Pal Singh alias Amrit son of Paramjit Singh a resident of Mohalla Guru Nanak Pura, Nakodar.
IO said that a case under sections18 (B) /61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and impounded a car (PB-10- HC-6827) in which he was travelling.
