Faridkot: The crafts Mela(Hunar Hut) has been further extended for two more days.
"Earlier, the crafts mela was to end on september 28, but due to the great interest of the people in the crafts mela, it has been extended for two more days. Now it will be there upto September 30," said Ruhee Dugg,DC Faridkot in a press release to the media.
She said that the extension has been given to the mela because of the great interest of the people into it. However, it is pertinent to mention that on September 22, the crafts mela was shut down due to the Soofi Night(By Satinder Sartaj) at about 3 PM and the contractors and rental places owners had protested strongly alleging that the district administration had ignored their interests and their business was ruined.
The heavy rainfall had also watered down the mela.
Two days's extension would give relief to the people who rented the shops,stalls and contracted for swings or rides.
