The Lohian Khas police have booked two farmers on the charge of burning paddy stubble fields.
Station House Officer (SHO) Gursharan Singh said that the alleged accused have been identified as Wasann Singh son of Pritam Singh a resident of Kang Khurd village and Tarlochan Singh son of Lachmann Singh of Raiwal Bet village.
SHO said the concerned nodal officers have sent their reports to the police which were verified and examined at the places of occurrence.
SHO said that the accused had set afire their paddy stubble fields and violated government order in this regard and polluted the atmosphere.
Cases under section 223(disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS have been registered against the accused.
The Shahkot police booked farmer Baldev Singh son of Buta of Akbar Pur Kalan village for burning paddy stubble fields said IO Major Singh.
The Mehat Pur booked farmer Piara Singh son of Teja Singh of Tandaura village for burning paddy stubble fields said IO Amrik Lal
