Administration rewards young, PWD voters after polling; DEO visits polling stations

JALANDHAR
The Jalandhar Administration has devised a unique method to encourage voter turnout among the youth. Over 80 young voters received complimentary movie tickets after casting their votes, adding a touch of excitement to the electoral process. Additionally, Persons with Disabilities (PWD) voters were honoured with certificates at the polling station situated at Apahaj Ashram.

District Election Officer Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal visited various polling stations throughout the day, interacting with voters and gathering their valuable feedback. Voters expressed their satisfaction with the arrangements, particularly appreciating measures taken to combat the intense heat wave.

In another green initiative, saplings were distributed among voters to promote environmental protection. This initiative not only underscored the importance of voting but also highlighted the need for environmental conservation.

Dr. Aggarwal reiterated the administration's commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections in the district. He emphasized that elaborate arrangements had been made to ensure a smooth voting experience for all.

The innovative incentives and extensive preparations reflect the administration's dedication to increasing voter participation and maintaining the integrity of the electoral process. The positive feedback from voters indicates the success of these initiatives, encouraging a higher turnout and a more engaged electorate.

The District Election Officer praised the efforts of the staff and volunteers, highlighting their crucial role in the success of the day's proceedings.
