NAKODAR.

 The Special Branch of Jalandhar (rural) has arrested three drug peddlers on the charge of selling heroin.

Investigating Officer (IO) Sukhdev Singh said that 61 grams of heroin were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Balwinder Singh alias Bread son of Gurjant Singha resident of Mallian Khurd village Salinder Singh alias Nonni alias Mukhtriar Singh a resident of Giddrr Pindi village and Jodh Veer Singh alias Jodha son of Gurmail Singh a resident of Mallian Khurd village.

IO said that the accused were traveling in a car (PB-10-DR-3200) and intercepted at a Naka at the grain market turn Uggi village and seized the contraband and one pistol with 5 live cartridges of 7.65 MM and sharp-edged weapons.

IO said a case under sections 21-B/61/85 of the NDPS Act and 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused.
