The Jalandhar (rural) police have arrested a Gurdas Pur resident on a charge of smuggling liquor.
Jalandhar (rural) Senior Superintend of Police Dr. Ankot Gupta told media aid that 983 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Balwinder Singh a resident of Kot Jog Ral village under Kahnu Wan police station in Gurdas Pur
A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused Aadam Pur police station and impounder of his tanker. Huch was meant to be in used Lak Sabha election.
