NAKODAR
The Nakodar City police have arrested a villager on a charge of selling illicit liquor.
Investigating Officer Sarabjit Singh said that 300 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Jaspal alias Dara a resident of Mahun Wal village.
A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
The Bilga police also booked Gabbar Singh of Bhode village for brewing illicit liquor and recovered 1000 liters of Lahann (raw) liquor and utensils for storing it said IO Ashwani Kumar.
