Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday dedicated 165 more Aam Aadmi Clinics in the state thereby embarking on a new health revolution with the operationalization of 829 clinics across Punjab.

Both the Chief Ministers dedicated the clinics here today with the sole aim of imparting quality health services to the people.

Interacting with the media persons, the Chief Minister said that with this 829 Aam Aadmi Clinics are now operational in the state to offer free healthcare services to people. He said that these clinics which have been dedicated to the people of the state are proving a boon for them. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these clinics have already proved to be a cornerstone in imparting quality health services to people.

The Chief Minister further said that equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, these clinics are providing world-class treatment and diagnostic facilities to the people free of cost. He said that so far more than 1 crore patients from across the state have benefitted from these Aam Aadmi clinics by their visit. Similarly, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that a total of 41 type of diagnostics tests are being provided at these clinics free of cost.

The Chief Minister further said that above all these clinics have helped the government in preparing a database for checking the various diseases prevalent in the state and combating them effectively. He said that the medicines are being provided free of cost to the patients at these clinics. Bhagwant Singh Mann said He said that these clinics have revolutionized the healthcare sector in the state as more than 95% of patients visiting these clinics daily recover from their ailments.

The Chief Minister said that it is a big day in the health sector of the state. He said that today 165 Aam Aadmi clinics have been dedicated virtually to the people adding that more such clinics will be dedicated in the coming days. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the initiatives of the Delhi government in education, health, and power sector have been replicated in Punjab.

The Chief Minister said that though like Delhi funds for Punjab have been stopped by the centre the also state government is working tirelessly for the benefit of the common man. He said that it is a revolutionary step that will go a long way in benefiting the people in a big way. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that from Republic Day all the medicines are being provided to patients from within the hospital adding that facility of X-Ray and ultrasounds are also being provided to people free of cost.

The Chief Minister said that the people of Jalandhar had given verdict during the Lok Sabha by-poll and after it massive efforts are being made to spruce up the city. He said that development works worth Rs 283 crore have been embarked in the district and many more are in the pipeline. Bhagwant Singh Mann said after winning all 13 seats in the state, the MPs from the state will not allow the union government to stall any fund of the state.

The Chief Minister slammed the Union government for stalling the funds under RDF and NHM thereby jeopardizing the development of the state. He said that funds worth more than Rs 8000 crore have been unfairly blocked by the Union government, which is a grave injustice to the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Union government must be taught a befitting lesson by routing them out in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls.

The Chief further said that on Sunday School of Eminence, constructed on ultra modern lines, is being dedicated to people in Ludhiana. He said that this is another revolutionary step aimed at imparting quality education to the students, especially from weaker and underprivileged sections. Likewise, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that 125 new booths of Verka milk will be opened in Delhi soon thereby giving a major fillip to the farmers of the state.

The Chief Minister said that instead of Sankalp Pattar the Union government led by PM Narendra Modi has copied the vision of Arvind Kejriwal by introducing a guarantee. He said that the credit of bringing common people to the centre stage of Indian polity goes to Arvind Kejriwal. He said that Arvind Kejriwal had brought a paradigm shift in politics by introducing value-based politics by rejecting divisive politics.

Taking a jibe over PM Narendra Modi’s one nation, one election stance, the Chief Minister asked why Modi is not pursuing the agenda of one nation, one education, and one nation, one treatment. He said that there is a huge parity in the education being imparted at convent schools and government schools but unfortunately, no one has ever paid heed to it. Similarly, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that there is a great divide in the health sector too adding that Modi who is a master of phraseology has only fooled the people by coining slogans like ache din and others.

Asked to comment on the proposed alliance between Akali Dal and BjP, the Chief Minister said that both the parties had never parted from each other and were already hand in glove. He dared Akalis to explain with which face they are joining hands with BJP, whose hands are drenched with the blood of innocent farmers. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that farmers issues are still unresolved and so are the issues related to state.

In his address, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal lauded the state government for taking this historic initiative. He said that this is unprecedented as Punjabis have never witnessed such a revolution in the health sector. Arvind Kejriwal said that it was first implemented in Delhi and is now successfully replicated in Punjab after people gave chance.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that Punjab has witnessed this health revolution for the first time in the last 75 years. He said that more such decisions are being taken to provide quality health facilities to the common man. Arvind Kejriwal said that being commoners they are well aware of the sufferings of the common man due to which revolution has been introduced in education, health and power sector.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that people don’t want politics of mudslinging, but they want a government that works. He said that in the last two years, unprecedented work has been done in the state to give push to the development of the state. Arvind Kejriwal said that this needs to be continued for which all the 13 seats should be given in favour of the Aam
Aadmi party.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that this is imperative to combat the stepmotherly treatment of centre adding that Punjabis will never forgive the Union government for meting out injustice with the state. He said that this is the need of hour to give fillip to the all-round development of the state and prosperity of the people. Arvind Kejriwal said that the candidates for the Lok Sabha elections will be announced very soon.

The Delhi Chief Minister hailed the state government for taking several pro-people and development-oriented initiatives in the state. He said that Punjabis are blessed to have Bhagwant Singh Mann as Chief Minister adding that this is good for the state and its people as such dedicated leaders are hardly found these days. Arvind Kejriwal said that under the visionary leadership of the Punjab Chief Minister, the state is witnessing unprecedented development in every sphere.
